I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
