Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
