Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
